Sometimes referred to as the First Lady by their flock, each of these women, of different denominations and backgrounds, serves the same Lord. Their desire to serve God, their husbands, their congregations, and their communities holds them together and gives them the strength to face unexpected dangers.
The First Ladies Club focuses on a new pastor’s wife who joins the club to help with her transition to life in the parsonage. A recent prison escapee makes for challenges not often faced by these women.
In A Body in the Belfry we get a different look at clergy life through the eyes of a woman pastor as she is called to her first church as a senior pastor. Although widowed, she is taken to the hearts of our First Ladies and allowed to join the club.
Judy Falls, an atypical pastor’s wife, stumbles across a murder victim in an abandoned chapel in the woods, while foraging for ingredients for one of her vegan delights in A Corpse in the Chapel.
Shadows of Hope follows ex-Marine and physical trainer, Hope (introduced in the Tillamook Tillie book Mrs. Thistlethwaite and the Magpie) as she adjusts to marriage and takes a troubled teenager under her new-fledged wings as a pastor’s wife.
