I told you about the helpful book recommendation site I just discovered, Shepherd. Some of you wanted to know more and I have a treat for you. The site’s creator, Ben Fox, has agreed to share with us.
J.B.: So, Ben, why did you create Shepherd?
Ben: My goal with Shepherd is to help readers find books they will LOVE by building a profile of books they love and sharing why they love them. I call it your Book DNA.
J.B.: How does that work?
Ben: I will help them meet books through readers who share that Book DNA profile and do that in a way that feels like wandering through your local bookstore. And I want to do this while helping them bump into a wider range of authors they might not know yet.
J.B.: Thanks, Ben. I can’t wait to dig into recommendations for some of my favorite genres.
Isn’t this a great idea, readers? I am always looking for new books to read and authors to love and wishing there was a place to get recommendations, not just reviews on sales sites.
Ben says he gets recommendations, not just from readers, but from authors, too! In fact, he let me recommend a few of my favorite books on the site.
