We begin in the autumn in a small Northern California town where Leveline (Bunny) Elder lives with her pastor husband. As Halloween approaches a series of events leaves Bunny widowed and wondering how to start over. Her adventure in self-discovery takes her from California to Idaho, Italy, and the Oregon Coast where she encounters smugglers, human traffickers, pirates, and possibly love.

This story sees Bunny, who is once again widowed, back on the Oregon Coast where her friends, the First Ladies Club women welcome her. Not wanting to face Christmas in Texas where she’d been living with her late husband, she rents a chalet and plans a quiet holiday alone. Fate, thanks to a mysterious Christmas elf, has other plans.

“What caught my attention about Bunny’s Christmas Mystery. Here’s a twice-widowed woman struggling with grief, an unexplained eight-foot Christmas tree, and an injured dog that needs her help. Just when Bunny might prefer to hide from the holiday season, Christmas delivers two mysteries to her doorstep. Apparently, even grief doesn’t get a quiet holiday in Bunny’s world!”
